VERSE NO. 26

      And finally this verse grips the hands of Muslims and takes them a few years back in their home town and among their citizens in Mecca. There, they were despised and rejected. Their very person, life, property, and family, were all insecure and under the persecution of the infidels. The pagans strictly wanted them to worship idols and false gods. To deny the truth and live a mere animal life. To ignore their Compassionate and Merciful God who created them, and to think not of any social reform, spiritual progress, and of the purpose and aim of their creation! But through the Grace of God, and the Blessings of His prophet, and as a result of their belief and obedience, they found a safe refuge with so many religious brothers and Helpers in Medina, and at length, they gathered power and number, enough to be victorious in such unequal battle like that of Badr, over their cruel and godless enemies:

      And remember when you were a few weakened in the land, fearing people to snatch you any .....''
