Verses 34-40Verses 30-33

God granted Solomon to David who was a sincere servant of God, and very penitent and often returning to Him.

The good virtuous son, not only impaired not the Divine kingdom of his father, but on contrary he extended and developed it wonderfully.

Here a short cut of Solomon's life story has been introduced to be a spiritual lesson to learn. Solomon in the summit of his glory and worldly power, never forgot his Lord God. He was a great king, but proud of being a servant of God. His deep faith in God, rendered him a righteous king, contrary to what the Bible illustrates of him. Solomon too as any other great kings was fond of swift and trained horses and hosts:-

``Remember when in the evening the swift horses were presented to him.''

He said:- ``I loved the love of these goods for the sake of my Lord. He passed a review of those horses until they disappeared from his sight. But they seemed so lovely to him that he said to the stable:- ``Return them back to me.'' And once again he began to pass review of them, and caressed their legs and necks.

Contrary to other kings, he was fond of horses in order to use them in the Jihad, and any sacred strife against the enemies of God. He therefore managed to own a great army as well as a great wealth. He made use of the power of demons and Jinns, and other hidden powers of nature, in the favour of virtue and social justice. He subjugated evil powers, and used them in the way of God, and development of his dominion.

Once it was evening, when he began to pass review of a certain race of his horses that were fine, powerful, and trained, to work in the battle field. The horses were so lovely that he found himself to be very fond of them. He caressed them on the necks and said:- ``I love them only for the sake of my Good Gracious God. I love to use them in Jihad, in order to please my Lord.''

Then his review of the horses was interrupted by his evening devotions, but after the performance of his prayers he resumed the review saying:-

``Return them back to me! And he began to caress them in their necks and legs.''
