TruthfulnessThe Obedience to God and the Messenger

Belief in sincerity of work is one of the ways of entering Paradise. Verses 39 to 43 of Surah Saffat tell us:

“And you shall be recompense only what you were doing save for the servants of God; for these there is a known sustenance, fruits and they shall be honored in the gardens of bounties.”

These verses have separated the sincere believers after describing the sinners. It says that they will be safe from all punishments.

The point to think about is who are the people denoted by the term “Mukhlaseen” with a zabar on Lam? It is clear from the Qura’n that “Mukhlis” with a zayr under Lam denotes the person who purifies his intentions and deeds.

The word “Mukhlas” with a Zabar means that the person has been purified and he has reached the stage where he is unaffected by the temptations of Satan. Satan has been defeated by him. Qura’n describes this in Satan’s words from verse 83 of Surah Saad that says he would mislead all“Except your chosen slaves among them.”

There are two kinds of impure things in man. Some deserve to be spared and some are very minute and hidden from man and if they manifest then man does not have the means to remove them. When man takes the path of sincerity he removes the first kind of impurities and then he is called Mukhlas.

God has bestowed so many distinctions on them that He has given to none other.

According to the verse God gives them his secret blessings and special sustenance. They gain pleasure from His pure existence. Their hearts are filled with the glory of God and they immersed in love from head to foot and this is what has been described by the words “Ulaika risqun Ma’luum”.

Their other distinction is to be safe from satanic temptations and this has also been discussed above.

Their third distinction is the attainment of a high form of enlightenment. This is evident when they give a true des c r i p tion of God and not that which contains polytheism in evident or hidden form.

Verses 159 and 160 of Surah Saffat say:

“Glorified is God from what they attribute to Him except the slaves whom He chooses.”

Their enlightenment is loftier than all others and their defense against Satan is the best. They will have the best rewards on the Day of Judgment and this is the true reward of the Mukhlaseen.
