Forgetting the Hereafter.Injustice and Repression

Not only the unjust oppressors and tyrants will be sent to hell but even those who support them or take their help will have the same fate.

Verse 113 of Surah Houd says:

“Do not lean towards those who do wrong, lest the fire should touch you and you have no protectors other than God; nor would you be helped.”

According to the linguists the word “Tarkunu” is derived from “Rakuun” and means the dependence or reliance on something and its yearning or desire and that is power and authority because man tends to rely or depend on one who is powerful. The “Rukuun” is often used for supporter or columns or walls on which a structure stands or something whose help is taken to consolidate one’s position. (1)

Keeping in view that the verse is connected with the unjust and also the word “Rukuun” and being connected in any manner with the unjust or oppressors. The verse tells us that their ultimate fate is the chastisement of God and even in this world they will face failure and infamy.

If this be the fate of the oppressors then helping them or taking their help will also take people to Hell. It is on this basis that Qura’n has ordered us not to be connected with injustice in any sense and said (in verse 2 of Surah Maidah):

“Help one another in righteousness.”

The hadiths have mentioned the severest punishments for those who help the unjust oppressors in any way even by providing pen and ink to write unjust commands. The details will be given at the proper place Inshallah.
