Explanation of VersesThe Conclusion

There is no doubt that the belief of man in resurrection leaves a very profound impact. Normally the deeds of man reflect his ideology of life or in other words the behavior of man is directly connected with his perception of the universe in its totality.

If some one knows that his deeds will be presented before a judge who is already aware of them, that no bribe will be helpful and there will be no rescinding of his decision for he will award reward or punishment according to the deeds. From another point of view we can say that all his deeds are archived in eternity and will be with him in the other world. They will be cause of his happiness, satisfaction, ignominy, shame and eternal well being is based on them. they will either bring eternal rewards or ever lasting punishments. Surely such a person will try to reform himself and will scrutinize his ideas before acting upon them. It is similar to the cautious approach of a person who is well aware of the positive and negative effects of a certain drugs or medicine so he chooses the best use for it. He tries to keep away from defective and harmful drugs. The same is applicable for the life in the hereafter and the judgment on the Day of Reckoning.

Come let us revert to the Qura’n and read and understand the verses that speak of this truth:

Verse 110 Surah Kahf:

“Whoever desires to meet his Lord let him good deeds not associating anyone in the worship of his Lord”

Verses 8 to 10 of Surah Insaan:

“And they give away food out of love for Him to the poor the orphan and the captive(saying) We feed you for the sake of God alone; no reward do we desire from your nor thanks; We only fear the day of frowning and distress from our Lord.”

Verse 22 of Surah Ya-Sin:

“Why should I not serve Him who created me and to whom you shall all return?”

Verse 249 of Surah Baqarah:

“But those who were convinced that they must meet God said, “How often by God’s will has a small force vanquished a greater one? God is with those who steadfastly persevere.”

Verses 72 and 73 of Surah Ta-Ha:

“ They said, “ Never shall we prefer you to what has come to us of the clear signs, to Him who made us; so decree whatever you will, for you can only decree about the life of this world. 73. We do believe in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins, and the sorcery that you forced us to do and God is the best and most abiding.”

Verses 40 to 46 of Surah Mudaththir:

“In the gardens they will question each other and ask the sinner: “What led you to the Hell fire?” They will say, “We were not among those who prayed nor were we among those who fed the poor but we used to talk vainly with the boasters and we used to deny the Day of Judgment.”

Verse 1, 4, 5 and 6 of Surah Mutaffifin:

“Woe to those that deal fraudulently, who when they measure for people demand in full but when they have to give by weight to them they deceive. Do they think they shall not be raised on a mighty Day? A day when all mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds.”

Verse 45 of Surah Tauba:

Those who believe in God and the Last Day.

Verses 1 and 2 of Surah Mauun:

“Do you see the one who denies the Judgment, such a person is the one who rebukes the orphans”

Verses 5 and6 of Surah Qiyamah:

“But man wishes to do evil before him; he asks “When is the day of resurrection?”

Verse 4 of Surah Naml:

“As for those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have made their deeds pleasing in their eyes and so they wander blindly.”

Verses 45 and 46 of Surah Isra:

“When you recite the Qura’n We set a screen between you and those who do not believe in the hereafter; 46. We have covered lest they should understand it, and made their ears heavy, and when you mention your Lord alone while reciting the Qura’n they turn their backs in aversion.”
