The philosophy behind the aims of the apostle’s ministry

The sending of the Messenger and the revelation of the Book means the establishment of the Messenger’s ministry and the revelation of the Qura’n. The existence of the Qura’n is related to this.

The Qura’n in verse 56 of Surah Zariyat says:

“And I did not create the Jinns and the humans except that they should worship Me (alone)”

In verse 6 of Surah Inshiqaq the Qura’n says:

“O man! Verily you are returning to your Lord with your deeds and actions, a sure return, so you will meet.”

We clearly understand that the road mankind traverses is very long and full of dangers and fears, while his purpose is to attain perfection and glory or in other words to come close to God and he cannot complete the journey on this path without a guide and guardian.

Indeed to cover this journey he needs a mentor and guide or the result will be darkness.

The word “Anbiya” here means the people’s guides and the divine book means the divine laws through which mankind attain the correct destination and enters light by leaving the darkness.

The second meaning here is a life without realizing the unseen and the entity of God cannot be imagined for the collective life of mankind, neither in creating nor in establishing the laws. He cannot achieve collective social justice also and he cannot realize the link between this world and the unseen one.

After this brief introduction let us now move to the Qura’n and study the verses in this regard

 1. Verse 2 of Surah Jumuah:

“It is He who has raised among the unlettered a Messenger from amongst them reciting His signs and purifying them; teaching them the Book and wisdom though they were in manifest error earlier.”

 2. Verse 129 of Surah Baqarah:

“Lord! Raise for them a Messenger from amongst them who shall recite to them your revelations and teach them the Book and the wisdom and purify them for you, You alone are the mighty, the wise.”

3. Verse 151 of Surah Baqarah:

“We have sent you a prophet from amongst you who recites to you Our signs, purifies you and teaches you the Book and the wisdom and teaches you that which you do not know.”

4. Verse 25 of Surah Hadid:

“Indeed We have sent Our Messengers with clear proof and we sent the Book down with them and the scale so that people may establish justice among them. And We sent down iron, which is great might as well as many benefits for mankind”

5. Verse 157 of Surah A’raf:

“Those who follow the unlettered Messenger/prophet, whose name they find written in the Torah and the Evangel, he enjoins them to goodness and forbids evil, he makes all good things lawful for them and he prohibits the bad ones; and he removed from them their burden and yokes; so those who believe in him honor and support him and follow the light sent down with him. They are the truly successful ones.”

6. Verse 1 of Surah Ibrahim:

“(This is) a book We revealed to you so that you may bring forth people from utter darkness into light by their Lord’s permission to the way of the mighty, the Praised One.”

7. Verse 48 of Surah Anam:

“We do not send Messengers except as heralds with glad tidings and as warners; then who ever believe and acts rightly shall have no fear and they shall not grieve.”

8. Verse 165 of Surah Nisaa:

“We sent Messengers to convey glad tidings and to warn, so that there exists to doubt among the people about God after the coming of the Messengers, and God is Mighty, Wise.”

9. Verse 213 of Surah Baqarah:

“Mankind was but one nation and God sent prophets as bearers of glad tidings and warners and He sent with them the truth to judge thereby between men when they differ”

10. Verse 52 of Surah Ibrahim:

“This is a clear Message for mankind so that they may be warned and that they know that He is the One God and that men of understanding may take heed.”

11. Verse 24 of Surah Anfaal:

“O you who believe! Respond to God and His Messenger and He calls you that which gives life.”
