It is impossible for an apostle to promote ignorance and sinsThe Proof of Reliability

It is well established that an intelligent and person will not do something that is against his aim and purpose and if he does so then he cannot be considered to be wise and thoughtful.

In other words we all know that God has sent the apostles to teach and guide mankind and if they are not infallible then they will not guide but misguide them. The absence of infallibility is absolutely against the laws that determine the purpose.

Moreover, the deeds and sayings of the apostles have a direct bearing on the education of the people because the sayings and doings of the respected elder are examples for the others to follow. This is the proof that their moral character has a direct bearing on the nurturing of mankind otherwise none of their deeds will be taken to be an exemplary model to follow. Their mission will lose all positive effects if are differences in their sayings and doings.

So it is imperative for the apostles that they are the best examples in all spheres of life so that the people will learn and be guided by their doings.

People who are immersed in sin, lie, usurp, oppress and follow their sinful desires lose the trust and reliability of others. If they are apostles then the aim and purpose of their mission becomes useless and comes to naught.

How can we believe that God entrust His divine mission which is related to religion, spirituality and collective well being to a person who is immersed in sins, is a slave to his carnal desires and has no control over himself? Can such a person in your views be a leader of men sent by God? Who can take the responsibility for such a divine and sincere mission except those who are aloof from all greater and lesser sins, mistakes and doubts? This is why we read a hadith from Imam Reza in which he is reported to have said:

“ He is infallible and it is confirmed that he is always on the right path; he is always far from mistakes, sins, and evils and this is why God sends and confirms him so that he is the His sign among the people and that he is a witness on the people also. (1)
