THE VIRTUES OF THE EMIGRANTS, HELPERS AND FOLLOWERS!
VERSE NO. 8-10
Here the argument is still about the division of the spoils left by Bani-Nazir, between the mentioned six groups of Moslims. The poor emigrants or in other word, the Wayfarers, the Helpers, the followers, the prophet's near kins, the orphans and the needies.
The major virtues of the three main groups of them was sincerity in faith, strife and truthfulness.
The emigrants forsook their homes and hearths and whatever they had in Mecca and came to Medina in order to give a hand to Messenger of God:-
``Those who were expelled from their homes and were deprived of their properties, seeking God's Grace and His good pleasure; and helping Allah and His Messenger. They are the truthfuls.''
Their self-denial was a clear proof of their faith and fidelity. Therefore, a portion of the spoils of Bani-Nazir was assigned to them in order to satisfy their urgent needs.
On the other hand, the role of the Helpers in Medina was not less important than that of the Emigrants. They accepted Islam when it was rejected by the people of Mecca, and invited the Messenger of God and his followers to join them so as to be able to preach and convey his Message in a more safe and secure area. So, the emigration was made possible by the Helpers good help and generous hospitality, who entertained the prophet and all the emigrants who followed him.
Worthy of note is that when the major share of the spoils of Bani-Nazir was assigned to the Emigrants, there was no least jealousy shown on the part of the Helpers, and as QurÌn has described:-
``The Helpers loved those who emigrated to them, and in their hearts they found no need of recompense for what they gave to the emigrants.'' They even preferred the refugees over themselves, although they had their own needs and wants! They indeed had controlled well their own avarice and selfishness in the way of Allah.
