GOOD EXAMPLES OF BELIEVING NON-BELIEVING WOMEN
VERSE NO. 9-12
The unbelievers and hypocrites were glad to cause,or to see a trouble in the household of our prophet; and therefore, they began to fan the fire and spread the rumour and hence the verse:-
``O, Prophet! Strive hard against the unbelievers and hypocrites.''
Strife (JIHAD) may be with arm or without arm against the unbelievers; but it was always without arm, and in the form of a cold war with hypocrites, unless they took arm against Moslims.
Then, a similitude has been struck for the believers and another for the unbelievers. The object of the similitudes are the non-believing women who were wives to Noah and to Lute; and the believing woman who was the wife of Pharaoh.
In Islamic tradition, the wife of Pharaoh was a righteous woman named ASEEYEH, who loved Moses, and saved him as a baby. She is one of the four perfect women namely; Mary, the mother of Jesus, KHADIJAH, the wife of Mohammad Mostafa (SA), and Fatima their daughter.
Noah and Lute's wives betrayed their husbands. This is not necessarily in sex; and might have been in important matters of truth and conduct.
God's guidance demands merits and deservance. Just having near relationship with a prophet is not enough for salvation. Rumi has:-
``The lion's young resembles to him;what a similarty do you have with your prophet?!'' Being a prophet's son or wife does not guarantee any privilege. The son of Noah and the wife of Lute perished in this world and joined the Fire when they died.
