Transmitting Zakat to another City if there is Deserving Person in the City
Issue No. 1680- One can take zakāt to another town, even if a deserving person is available in his own area. However, as an obligatory precaution, he should himself pay the expenses of taking it to the other area and if it perishes, he will be responsible, even though it has been with the permission of the Mujtahid or his representative.
